The Deluge of Ogyges
The Egyptian prince Inachus taught the Pelasgians to make fire, cook food, and build stone houses. The Pelasgians learned to build massive stone walls so strong that later Greeks thought giants (Cyclops) must have built them. Inachus founded the city of Argos. Then a terrible earthquake and flood occurred during the time of King Ogyges, drowning many Pelasgians. This disaster became known as the Deluge of Ogyges.
